How is Coffee Made?

At On Pointe Coffee, our passion for coffee excellence motivates us to go the extra mile. Unlike most store-bought beans that are roasted early and shipped internationally, our process is designed to maximize freshness and highlight every coffee's inherent flavor qualities.

We import premium green coffee beans after harvest, cooperating directly with farms in renowned regions like Ethiopia, Tanzania, Peru, and Colombia. These beans are hulled, graded to the highest standard, then swiftly shipped to our local roasters in the United States. Here, our experts craft small batch roasts daily to meticulously develop each bean's character.

This specialized approach allows us to roast every batch at its peak, just before shipping to your doorstep. By preserving the beans' nuances throughout the journey from farm to cup, we can optimize the aroma, body, and taste in every sip. The result is a reliably remarkable coffee experience, overflowing with flavors only fresh roasting can unlock. For us, coffee perfection means upholding quality from tree to table.

Here is an excellent video showcasing the standard coffee bean supply chain. We reserve the roasting to be done locally.  It does add an extra step, but we believe the enhanced flavor profile and caffeine retention is worth the investment.
